Making Impact: SARAH LAUGHED
Genesis 18:10-13"10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
An altar is where we remind God about His word, and promises towards us. It reminds us not only what God can do but also what He has done for us.
In Genesis 21:1-3 shows how God visited and fulfilled His promise unto Sarah, even though Sarah laughed in doubting God, yet God kept His word. He proved to her that He is Almighty God that keeps his word.
In return Sarah built an altar, something that makes her to remember and worship God for what He had done unto her and Abraham her husband.
Sarah built an altar and named it Isaac (Laughter) as God had instructed her.
Beloved, irrespective of what you are going through or has been trusting God over; don't give up but rather believe in God and build an altar round Him, and whatever He says will definitely come to pass in your life in Jesus name.
