Cast Not Away your confidence

Image result for do not throw away your confidence Hebrews 10:35-36 says:"35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.36 For you have need of endurance, that, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise."

Beloved, even though things are highly challenging now, do not throw away your confidence in Him. Mind what you say, and  let your word match your faith in Him.

Remember our God is a re-warder (Hebrew 11:6), and for you to be rewarded accordingly; you must have faith in Him, trust Him with the right perspective, be patience with Him and diligently seek Him.

Dee Hock says:" It is essential to employ, trust, and reward those whose perspective, ability, and judgement are radically different from yours. It is also rare, for it requires uncommon humility, tolerance and wisdom."

Welcome to our year of uncommon reward.

Have a glorious day.

God is your resting place

Image result for 1 samuel 23 :14 kjv 1st Samuel 23:14-17 says:" 14 And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand. 15 And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood. 16 And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God. 17 And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth."
The desert is dreary. The way is long. Heavily burdened, a weary traveler slowly drags onward his wounded feet. Faint by reason of the fiery blaze which smites him from the unclouded sky and the scorching sand, he eagerly looks around for shelter. He pants for even the muddiest pool where he may quench his raging thirst. In such "a weary land," how welcome "the shadow of a great rock," and the clear, cool fountain gushing up within its rugged clefts! But where can such a refuge be found for the soul—weary with wandering, crushed by care, groaning under guilt? Where can its burden be taken off, its sorrows soothed, its mighty thirst assuaged?

But where for me, pursued by my relentless enemy, the devil, entangled by doubts, haunted by fears, with many a barbed and poisoned arrow rankling in my conscience—where for me is the privileged retreat which no hostile foot may enter, where all my wounds may be healed, and where, taking up my abode, I may be henceforth both safe and happy?

The psalmist provided solution to this problem. Psalm 91:1 says: "He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

The term here denotes protection. A shadow screens me from the sun, and hides me from my foe.  So the glorious attributes of the Most High, the unclouded rays of His perfections, are as a shadow of defense to His people. No wonder, despite all the evil desire of King Saul towards an innocent boy (David), none of it  could come to reality. God became his resting place

The Almighty God became a stronghold where David could abide and be saved from his enemy. The Lord did not deliver David into the hand of his enemy but rather removed every form of fears, used  the offspring of  his enemy to encourage, strengthen,  and assure him of his honorable position as a king over Israel-His people  .

This week, irrespective of whatever is going on, the Almighty God will not deliver you and your household into the hand of the wicked ones  in the name of Jesus.

You will not be victim of any evil.

He will save and defend  you from all form of hardship.

He will be your stronghold for protection, and favors you in all your dealings.

Have a glorious day

Hospitality can break generational curse

Deuteronomy 23:3-6 says:"An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever".

The above passage shows how God curse a generation because of their action towards His people (Israelite). God pronounced that no Ammonite or Moabite will enter into His congregation, even to their tenth generation.

Image result for ruth 2:11-12 kjvThis is very serious!, but here comes another woman that through her hospitality was able to turn things around and entered God's promises. She became the lineage of God's people and brought the restorer of live.

Ruth was a Moabites but through her faith-Ruth 1:16-17, caring for her mother in law- Ruth 2:7, not being selfish ( by making sure her mother in law never lack)-Ruth 2:14,17, obedient by not looking down on her mother in law ( Ruth 4:13-17), God enable her to conceive after she has lost everything and of age,.

At this time, Ruth should not less than 45-50 years of age but yet the Almighty God enabled her to conceive and the woman that was condemned, came from a curse generation (Moabites) became the restorer of live-Ruth 4:17

Beloved, not being hospitable is a great offense in the sight of God-Hebrew 13:2, in fact God sees us as someone that is worst than an infidel if we can not provide for our parents etc.-1st Timothy 5:8.

Ruth's action makes God to be committed to bless her-Ruth 2:11-12.

Beloved, how are you threatening your in law, and fellow ones? Do you see them as an enemy or someone that you must love, cherish, be kind and friendly to.

Irrespective of the circumstances, let us always be hospitable and not being hostile to our in laws and fellow ones because whatever we are doing now will surely have a pay back effect.

Shalom!

The name of the Lord

Proverb 18: 10 says:"10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run neth into it, and is safe".

Beloved, I do not know whatever the devil has been using to cause you pain but today the Lord will save you out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth will know that the Lord God is your shelter.

There was a time when a king  called Sennacherib king of Assyria, was tormenting and blaspheme the name of God and His people just as some principalities and powers do make fun of the people of God nowadays.

Some evil ones will gang up intentionally against the people of God just to make lives miserable and challenging for a child of God, and unknowing to these powers and evil ones; they wrongly create an avenue for God to show case His power and beautify His love ones.

Image result for the name of the lord is a strong towerAs a child of God when enemy comes with their evil plans, where do you run to. Do you run to God, and let God depend on you and fight your battle or you take it upon yourself and neglect the Almighty God.

Sennacherib boasted in his god, harassing people of God but King Hezekiah went to God in prayer and our God did wonders. Just one night the angel of the Lord killed 185,000 soldiers in the camp of Assyria, not only that Sennacherib went home in shame and was killed by his own sons in the presence of his god-2nd King 19:35-37. His god, his tricks etc could not save him.

Beloved, irrespective of what you are passing through, the Almighty God will fight for you just as He did for king Hezekiah.

Please do not let the storms of this world take you out of His hand because He cares for you, and you will definitely testify of His goodness.

Have a glorious weekend in advance.
