May your root go downward and bear fruit upward in this new month

2 2 Kings 19:30 says:"And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward".

Beloved, in this new month, may you receive the grace of God for your root to go downward, and bear fruit upward in whatever you lay your hands upon in Jesus name.

You are not alone-a story of a young man and his father

 A father takes his son into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays if the morning sun shine through it.

He cannot cry out for help to anyone.

Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of his experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own.

The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be around him.

May be some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and trees and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold.

It would be the only way he could become a MAN!.

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him.

He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

Beloved,we too, are never alone. Even when we don’t know it, God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us. 

When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

 God says in His word-Gen 28:15 that behold He is with us and will keep us wherever we go, and just because you can’t see God, does not mean He is not there with you in your predicament etc, and you will definitely triumph over those challenges in Jesus name. “For we walk by Faith, not by sight”.

They shall be broken in pieces

Isaiah 8:9-10 says: "Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us".
Beloved, because God is with you, and in  accordance to the scripture above; anyone that gang up against you and your belongings shall be broken in pieces, and none of there conspiracy shall stand before you and your family in Jesus name.

Daugther of a king

Beloved, as a son and daughter of the most High, hear what the Lord God is saying concerning you and your belongings; 2Kings 19:32-36 says:'32 Therefore thus saith the LORD  concerning the king (those that conspire against you and your belongings) of Assyria, He shall not come  into your family/dwelling place nor shoot  an arrow there, nor come before  it with  shield/devises, nor cast a bank  against you and your belongings.

 

33 By the way  that he/they came, by the same shall he/they return, and shall not come into your dwelling place saith  the LORD.

 

34 For God will  defend  and save you and your belonging, for mine own sake, and for my son Jesus' sake. 

 

35 And it will come to pass today that  the angel of the LORD will go out on your behalf and smote as many that gang up against you and your belongings in Jesus name, so that  people will see their shamefulness in Jesus name.

 

36 And  your enemies will return and dwell in their shamefulness all the days of their lives except they come to serve your LORD , and accept Him as their personal Savior'.

 

Keep telling Jesus about His goodness to as many as you can, and never be discouraged/ intimidated by devil and his cohort.

Don't be tired in your prayer-Dr. Ahmed's story

Dr Ahmed, a well-known cancer specialist was once on his way to an important conference in another city where he was going to be granted an award in the field of medical research.

He was very excited to attend the conference, and was desperate to reach as soon as possible.

He had worked long and hard on his research and felt his efforts deserved the award he was about to obtain.

However, two hours after the plane took off, the plane made an emergency landing at the nearest airport due to some technical snag. Afraid,that he wouldn’t make it in time for the conference, Dr Ahmed immediately went to the receptionist and found that next flight to the destination was after ten hours.

The receptionist suggested him to rent a car and drive himself down to the conference city which was only four hours away. Having no other choice, he agreed to the idea despite his hatred for driving long distances.

Dr Ahmed rented a car and started his journey. However, soon after he left, the weather suddnely changed and a heavy storm began. The pouring rain made it very difficult for him to see and he missed a turn he was supposed to take.

After two hours of driving, he was convinced he was lost. Driving in the heavy rain on a deserted road, feeling hungry and tired, he frantically began to look for any sign of civilization. After some time, he finally came across a small tattered house. Desperate, he got out of the car and knocked on the door. A beautiful lady opened the door. He explained the matter and asked her if he could use her telephone. However, the lady told him that she doesn’t have a phone or any electronic gadget but told the doctor that if he could come inside till weather improves.

Hungry, wet and exhausted, the doctor accepted her kind offer and walked in. The lady gave him hot tea and something to eat. The lady told him that he can join her for prayers for which Dr Ahmed smiled and said that he believe in hard work only and told her to continue with her prayers.

Sitting on the table and sipping the tea, the doctor watched the woman in the dim light of candles as she prayed next to what appeared to be a small crib.

Every time she finished a prayer, she would start another one. Feeling that the woman might be in need of help, the doctor seized the opportunity to speak as soon as she finished her prayers. The doctor asked her what exactly she wants form the God and inquired if God will ever listen to her prayers. He further asked about the small child in the crib for whom she was apparently making a lots of prayers.

The lady gave a sad smile and said that the child in the crib is her son who is suffering from a rare type of cancer and there is only one Doctor Ahmed who can cure him but she doesn’t have money to afford his fee and moreover Dr Ahmed lives in another far off town. She said that God has not answered her prayer so far but said that GOD WILL CREATE SOME WAY OUT ONE DAY, AND ADDED THAT SHE WILL NOT ALLOW HER FEARS TO OVERCOME HER FAITH.

Stunned and speechless Dr Ahmed was in tears which were rolling down his cheeks. He whispered, God is great and recollected sequence of events……there was malfunction in the plane, a thunderstorm hit, and he lost his way, and all of this happened because God did not just answer her prayer but also gave him a chance to come out of materialistic world and give some time to the poor helpless people who have nothing but rich in prayers.

Beloved, we should always allow God to hold on to us by not becoming his enemy when He delays in answering our prayers, we should keep on praying, never get tire because we don’t know when, how, where and what time He would answer our prayers.

We should always remember five important steps in our daily life:

1) Ask

2) Believe

3) Receive

4) Faith

5) Giving


Don’t STOP praying, it will soon work for you, and may the Lord God answer all our prayers speedily in Jesus name.

Your tormentors shall be put to shame in Jesus name

2Kings 19:10-13:"Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.¹¹ Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered? ¹² Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar? ¹³ Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?".

We could see how a king that have acquired much but failed to praise the Almighty God that delivered his enemies unto him, rather he started boasting ,and now oppressing the people of God.

We have many children of God that are genuinely believers yet being tormented by their fellow Christians.  A lady shared her experienced with me on how she almost made a mistake over an issue that was reported to her pastor but because the evil accusers happened to be the right men of the pastor, this created a lots of problems. Her pastor would comfort her when those evil accusers were not around, the man of God would nail the accusers/believers as evil ones but once the evil accusers were around then the man of God would continue to accuse the lady, making mockery of her in the presence of those people.

The tormentation continued for a long period-almost a year, the lady might have even thought that God was dead but notwithstanding, she kept trusting for help,and continued to serve  God with all her mind, and suddenly her maker heard her cried and lifted her far above all her accusers and even the pastor.

Beloved, our God is still in the business of saving and helping His children.

He helped king Hezekiah, made jest of his enemy i.e. king Sennacherib. Our God heard the prayer of king Hezekiah and saved him-2 Kings 19:15-20 says:"¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. ¹⁶ Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. ¹⁷ Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, ¹⁸ And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. ¹⁹ Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only. ²⁰ Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

NB:Thank God that the sister was mature and sincere child of God that could still love and relate with her pastor and church members. May the Lord empower His minister spiritually, physically and financially, ability to listen carefully and be patience so that they wont become a puppet before their so called powerful members, and may He also give the members wisdom to manage their wealth in order not to be a tormentor/instrument of satan to their fellow Christians. 

Today, irrespective of what you are passing through I need to tell you that our God cares for you, and if He can saved king Hezekiah, and that lady then, yours will not be difficult for Him to do in the name of Jesus.

Please never be discouraged because surely your help has come.

2nd Corinthians 5:17 says:"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Beloved, I pray that God's original purpose for your life which the enemies have tampered with shall be restored today in Jesus name.
