You Shall Stand Out

Deuteronomy 28:13 says " The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom".

As you obey His commandment e.g. if you can love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself, in your activities today then our God will give you grace to be a reference point for goods.
 
And whatever it will take for you & your family  to stand out, God will do it in your life and grant you the grace to cooperate with Him.

For Christ's Sake Dont!

Galatians 5:1 says "It is freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then , and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery".

Some people deceive themselves or allow devil to deceive them. They live in sin and they claim they can confess their sins: it is either such people are not saved at all, or they have already backslidden.

What a dangerous thing it is for a child of God to toy with sin. Five to six years ago in Lagos-Nigeria, the case of a pastor was reported in the newspapers. A portion of a wall fell on him while he was on top of a woman; they died together on the spot, what judgement!. where would the destination of such a pastor be in eternity?.

For Christ's sake do not toy with sin! (culled from Pastor E.A. Adeboye's message)

Beloved, as you engage in your activities today please flee every appearance of evil. Do not say I will do it only once; your "only once" escapade could lead you to an eternity in hell.

THE ADDRESS
I would like to take this time to address all of you here and everyone around the world that has shown their support and expressed their condolences during this difficult time. I want you all to know that in spite of the recent tragedy that claimed the lives of my parents, Dr Myles and Ruth Munroe, my Uncle, Dr Richard Pinder, our Chief Pilot, Captain Stanley Thurston, our first officer, Farkhan Cooper, our Youth Pastors Lavard and Radel Parks, their son Johannan Parks and their unborn child and our their friend, Diego Santiago. We all have comfort in knowing that God is in control. I know there are many questions as to how or why some thing like this would be allowed to happen to such great individuals, but still God is in control.

The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, my family and all those affected by this loss. We are all saddened by this tragic event, but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support we've received from everyone around the country and from those around the world at large . I want to thank everyone that has called, that has emailed, that has messaged or that has just gave words of encouragement. We are truly grateful. I would like to make it known that though we are grieving our losses, and deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been nor would we ever feel hopeless.

There is no question in our heart that the spirits of the 9 persons who were taken, are now resting with our Heavenly Father . We rejoice for we know they are in a better place, watching over all of us and rejoicing among the heavenly angels.We will not allow death to claim any victory but we celebrate the life and the legacy of each individual. This tragedy does not mark the end, the end of life, the end of a vision, the end of a journey nor the end of a purpose, but it marks the new beginning of an era. 

An era of a new generation that will carry on the vision and the legacy of my father and my mother and of each individual whose life was lost so unexpectedly. So let's not mourn their deaths but celebrate their lives and find joy knowing that although God may not explain Himself, He will reveal Himself . In the words of my father, " The greatest tragedy in life is not death but it's a life without a purpose".

 We know there is a greater purpose in all of these and we are now the vessels for this new vision and new legacy to be carried on. So once again, on behalf of myself, my Aunt, sister, cousins, my family and on behalf of all of those who have lost a loved one this weekend, we say thank you for your kind words, your kind messages and your phone calls, we are grateful.

We are not hopeless, we are not mourning their deaths, but we celebrate their lives.

the library started staring at the guy and he was
embarrassed.

After a couple of minutes the girl walked quietly to
the guy's table and she told him... I study
psychology and I know what a man is thinking. I
guess you felt embarrassed right??..

The guy with a loud voice said"5000 NAIRA JUST
FOR ONE NIGHT HABA THAT'S TOO MUCH OOO!!!".
And all the people in the library looked at the girl
in shock and the guy whispered in her ears " I study law and I know how to make someone feel
guilty"!

Set Free

From our last post- Say No to Divorce, we made known of our intentions to speak on who needs deliverance, and this write up will delve a bit into that, and also give things that are needed in order for deliverance to be done. Meanwhile,  we need to understand what is deliverance because virtually every christian must pass through a challenge,  and when a believer prays, God will show a way out of those challenges-Jeremiah 33:3, hence, a believer need not to be delivered because challenge does not mean  to be oppressed by the devil etc. as a child of God.

We are not denying the fact that there is no devil but devil is not omnipresent i.e. not everywhere and  knows everything at the same time but the devil is well organized, hence he can cause challenges for a believer-Job 1:7-8 says" The Lord said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the Lord, "From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it". Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil".

What is Deliverance?

Deliverance literally  means freedom from bondage or captivity-Luke 4:18 says"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free" NIV.

The word bondage / captivity here means that someone that has been under the influence/ being possessed by devil and its agents. Any child of God that is walking consistency with God needs not to be delivered because he/she is hidden in Christ in God- Colossians 3:3 says"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God" NIV,  hence such a christian cannot be possessed by devil but could be faced with a challenge. For instance, a christian brother/ sister that is looking for the fruit of the womb, and having done the medical checks and found perfect, does not needs to be going for a deliverance prayer etc because what he/she is passing through is just a challenge, and denying is not a denial.

But when someone is not dead in Christ i.e being dead to sin, flesh etc such a person needs to be delivered. The ministry of deliverance is absolutely an act of God's grace attributed to the Holy Spirit. This is because no man can deliver the other except through the grace of God.

In Luke 4:18-19 (NIV), Jesus said:"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He had sent me to proclaim fredom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to released the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour".

The above scripture shows that deliverance is effective through the power of the Holy Spirit. It can be done through a child of God that is operating under the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not a specialized ministry. A preacher can preach deliverance, prosperity etc once such a minister is a complete minister and not a one way minister.

Deliverance involves the following: i) Preaching the good news to the poor ( the person must see a need for deliverance via good news i.e. the word of God, what does the word of God says about the situation). There must be sincere openness from the person that needs deliverance, and proper counseling through the word of God from the person that want to carry out deliverance before deliverance can take place.

ii) Proclaim freedom for the prisoners ( the person must agree that he is in bondage and need to be free). It is not by forcing/ cajoling someone but total agreement.

iii) Recovery of sight to the blind (there must be knowledge of a problem). For instance, a drunkard that needs to be free from drinking habit needs to be aware of his environment, try to avoid going towards alcohol etc untill he/ she can gain self control, likewise a womaniser, husband snatsher etc needs to be aware of what easily stimulate them towards such an act, then try to overcome such a force.

When all these conditions are met, then the following will be guaranteed: i) To release the oppressed
ii) To proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.

But when these conditions are not put in place then such a deliverance will lead to pain, torment etc for instance I could remember a friend of mine that was referred to a deliverance minister for a deliverance prayer. This guy met the deliverance minister, and after being interogated by the deliverance minister he sincerely told the minister all what happened but not knowing that the minister had another view of the story from some set of people that the minister rated higher and respected meanwhile these people did not have the whole truth of the event, they only heard from a part and used that to feed the minister without even trying to hear from the guy.

This guy just noticed that all the prayer points were against what really happened but still continued praying inorder to obey the man of God.  The deliverance was done in this format and after some days  the guy found out that the minister was fed with wrong information, and this served as the basis of the deliverance activities.

As a human, this guy was annoyed but thank God that he is a child of God, God spoke to him and directed him to a man of God that just prayed with him without deliverance exercises e.g. fasting etc, this guy was peaceful, happy, and rejoicing in the Lord because he met a man of God that incorporated those three elements before doing deliverance i.e. See a need, Agreement, and Knowledge.

Say No to Divorce

Beloved, 
Countless Christians/people have justified the ground to divorce their wives/husbands on some excuses such as unfaithfulness,lack of exposure etc which are contradictory to the word of God.

1st Corinthians 7:10 says" To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband"NIV. Hence, it is essential for a man to put in 90% into his matrimonial home inorder to make his marriage work, and never divorce his wife. 

A believer must have a deep knowledge of the fact that a choice of partner will have much impact in their marriages,ministries,heavenly race etc hence,it is not wise for a priest/child of God to marry a woman/man that is not of like minded with him/her, a preist should marry a priest but not unbeliever.

Never divorce your wife except on the grounds of what Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 7:15 i.e. "But if the unbeleiver leaves,let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances:God has called us to live in peace". Here, the only ground to divorce is when the wife/husband is going against the will of God over his/her partner ,for instance, if a woman married as an unbeliever and she and her husband are both unbelievers but later on she gave her life to Christ and made her intention known to her husband that she is now a child of God but her husband refused and wanted her to go into occultic societies or things that are against the will of God then such a sister/woman can divorce. This is also applicable to a man as well but apart from this, a man/woman cannot divorce.

Some people cited Adultery as an excuses-John 8:1-11 etc as a yardstick  for divorce but forgetting that a woman/man under adultery needs deliverance through the word of God that can instal the fear of God in her and sets her free from demonic oppressions that leads her/him into such an act. 

Beloved, never thinks that marrying in Church/God fearing person will make your home/partner to be the best, and forgetting the purpose of devil i.e. to cause any believer to fall,mis the mark,steal,kill,and destroy-John 10:10.

When a man falls into sin and sees no grace to rise again then he keeps falling more and more into sin. Such a man will graduate from adultery to beating his wife, child molesting etc, likewise  men should know that  women are the easiest to fall because they are easily attracted by what they hear.

Brethren, we need to be careful of how to live our lives and never be ignorance of the devices of devil-2nd Corinthians 2:11.

As you worship God in your various denominations, please commit your homes into God's hand for He is able to keep to end whatever we commit into His hand-2nd Timothy 1:12.

Good morning dear friends,

In 2nd Kings 8:6" The King asked the woman about it, and she told him. Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him,"Give back everything  that belonged to her,including all the income from her land from the  day she left the country until now"(NIV).

Here,we could see how the Lord raise a voice for the widow/helpless woman in an hopeless situation(famine period), and brought back all what belong to her even those incomes that she did not work for. Her country men worked for her & just for her to come and reap the  reward.

Sir/Ma,this morning irrespective of every odd situations,may the Lord raise an active voice/helper for you & you will possess your possessions,and reap bountiful blessings even where you did not sow in Jesus name.
